Development Alternative Organization (DAO) is a non-profitable, non-partisan and non-government organization, working in the field of community and human resources development in its working area. Established in the Bara District of Nepal in 2056, the NGO envisions people working together for sustainable development, self reliant and equitable society. DAO conducts various development activities and implements community projects through the assistance of Living Earth Institute (LEI) and Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) Nepal donors.
What we do
We work in the following areas.
Upliftment of excluded communities
We unite and motivate the most excluded people especially disadvantage group like women, Dalit, Janajati, Madhesi enhancing the socio economic of the communities.
Enterprenuership development
We empower most excluded people by making self reliant through entrepreneurship development and income generative activities.
Rural community awareness
We enhance the awareness of the rural community people through training to involve in agricultural and non agricultural entrepreneurship.
